This new series of figurative drawings explores notions of intimacy, craving, doubt, ego, conflicting impulses, and the violence of indecision.
While making this work I was influenced by Philosopher Douglas Hofstadter’s book “I am a Strange Loop” and choreographer Ohad Naharin’s movement language called “Gaga.” Both of which seem to deal with the idea of self and how our perception of it affects our ability to communicate with others.
